Description
Dedicated to Lord Shiva, Mallikarjuna temple is located in the heart of Kasaragod town. The Kumbala River flows close to the south of the temple. Legend says that the idol of Lord Shiva in the temple is adorned by Arjuna (one of the Pandavas, the heroes of the Hindu epic Mahabharata.). The annual festival of Mallikarjuna temple is famous and Yakshagana performances are common in the temple premises.
How To Reach
The temple is situated about a kilometer from Kasaragod town.
Kasaragod railway station is the nearest railhead.
